Well, I feel fine so far. For some reason no matter how much I eat of the soup and the mellon I’m STILL hungry! I am craving something heartier then just fruit, like one of the frozen burritos in my freezer (it's taunting me with its meatiness). The soup is yummy and filling, but it isn’t a hour later and I’m already hungry again. I just need to make it through the night, that’s when I’m the most tempted. All the water has been making me pee like crazy too; people keep asking what’s wrong. I needed to flush my body for a while now I guess; I didn't realize how much processed food I eat every day, and how strongly I’ve been having cravings for stuff (like a peanut butter sandwich!?). Just gotta make it to the morning, then I'll be fine. Can't wait to eat that potato! But when I hoped on the scale, I felt like "who needs that burrito in the freezer!"
Weight: 310 BMI: 54.88
-2 lbs in one day!! Haha! I can do this.

Lunch: More watermelon and a can of mixed fruit, and a few more glasses of water.
Snack: Orange flavored Craisins and a glass of water.
Dinner: Wonder soup, watermelon, and a glass of water.
Snack: a cup of hot tea and some more watermelon (I’m almost done eating half of it on my own!!)
Exercise: I hit the Wii Fit today, I did every exercise I have unlocked on both Yoga and the Strength training... doing one or two isn't hard, but at the end of the last strength training exercise I was exhausted

The Plan
For the first week I will be doing the GM diet. I got advice for this from Reddit (thanks guys). It is supposed to help you lose 10-17lbs in only a week! I also heard that it makes you feel "lighter" and “fresher”. So we shall see how it goes. The science behind it seems very sound.
You can find the details of the diet here http://www.iimahd.ernet.in/~jajoo/gmdiet.html but below is the basic idea. I hope some of you will follow along with me and see how we feel each day.
The following soup is intended as a supplement to your diet. It can be eaten any time of the day in virtually unlimited quantities. You are encouraged to consume large quantities of this soup.
Water (flavoured with lemon/lime if desired).
Club Soda is OK.
Black Coffee. No cream or cream substitute. No sugar or sweetness.
Black Tea = Herb or Leaf.
Absolutely nothing else except the fruit juices on day seven. No fruit juices before day seven.
It sounds tough, but I think it is a great way to kick off my diet. Wish me luck!

The GM Diet
During the seven days you must abstain from all alcohol, and you must drink 10 glasses of water each day
Day One: All fruits except bananas. Your first day will consist of all the fruits you want. It is strongly suggested that you consume lots of melons the first day. Especially watermelon and a cantaloupe. If you limit your fruit consumption to melons, your chances of losing three lbs. on first day are very good.
Day Two: All vegetables. You are encouraged to eat until you are stuffed with all the raw or cooked vegetables of your choice. There is no limit on the amount or type. For your complex carbohydrate, you will start day two with a large baked potato for breakfast. You may top the potato with one pat of butter.
Day Three: A mixture of fruits and vegetables of your choice. Any amount, any quantity. No bananas yet. No potatoes today.
Day Four: Bananas and milk. Today you will eat as many as eight bananas and drink three glasses of milk. This will be combined with the special soup which may be eaten in unlimited quantities.
Day Five: Today is feast day. You will eat beef and tomatoes. Eat two 10 oz. portions of lean beef. Hamburger is OK. Combine this with six whole tomatoes. On day five you must increase your water intake by one quart. This is to cleanse your system of the uric acid you will be producing.
Day Six: Beef and vegetables. Today you may eat an unlimited amount of beef and vegetables. Eat to your hearts content.
Day Seven: Today your food intake will consist of brown rice, fruit juices and all the vegetables you care to consume.
G.M.'S Wonder Soup

The Begining
Well, I haven't been 300lbs my whole life but I certainly have always been on the larger side of the scale. My mom made me clean my plate when I was a kid, and she couldn't pass up the allure of a 99cent Whooper. So I guess that added to my issues, but since I was a very active girl it didn't show as much as you'd think.
The problem caught up to me after high school, I stopped playing golf 5 days a week, I stopped marching in the band 6 days a week, and I pretty much kept on eating like I had. Contrary to popular belief, emotions have nothing to do with my eating habit either. I'm very happily engaged, I have tons of very supportive happy friends, and my family and I are very close. I recently graduated with my BS in Biology and will be going on to my masters this fall. I'm actually not all that unhappy with my appearance either, but I am getting into a field that requires tons of physical work, so I'm hoping with less lbs to drag around I'll be better at my job.
And they could be close, but I don't see myself that way at all. In my head I’m much curvier, and a bit thinner. But, I'll let you decide for yourself, this is me (on the left):

These days I eat pretty healthy, even got my loving fiancé to eat well too. I exercise pretty often by hitting the gym, playing softball and just generally keeping busy, but that's just enough to keep the damage neutral. So tomorrow I will begin the quest to get back to 250 again... and heck, if all goes well, let's go all the way down to 150. Who knows, it could happen :).
I guess most people when they think of a 300lb woman they get this image in their head:
[Gwyneth Paltrow as Rosemary in Shallow Hal]

And they could be close, but I don't see myself that way at all. In my head I’m much curvier, and a bit thinner. But, I'll let you decide for yourself, this is me (on the left):
My dad is the big guy next to me. I'm hoping my work will eventually get them motivated to get started on some healthier habits as well.
